The new MPB 1400 is an extremely low-priced mobile construction site traffic signal system with state-of-the-art technology. The standard version is intended for controlling alternating one-way traffic; additional identical signal heads can also be added as required for controlling-junctions or crossroads.
MPB 1400 is produced according to the specifications of VDE 0832 and RiLSA for quartz-controlled signal systems. When used for controlling alternating one-way traffic, the traffic signal corresponds to type class A of the German Technical Delivery Conditions – Portable Traffic Signal Systems 97 (TL-LSA97).

Simple handling and an uncomplicated control system in seven languages, together with the possibility of upgrading the system as required for T-junctions or crossroads – these are the keywords for the new MPB 1400.
All settings are adjusted conveniently by infrared remote control, which is coded to prevent unauthorised interference. One single hand box can be used to program any number of signal heads. MPB 1400 can be put to universal use: with just two systems you can control alternating one-way traffic in different sites on one and the same day, or use the systems together on another day for simple crossroads control.
The necessary parameters are checked by a dialogue in the hand box, so that the whole system is really simple to use: just enter the red and green phases for up to 999 seconds separately for each traffic signal, transfer the data, and that's it!
It goes without saying that in addition to the quartz mode, it is also possible to adjust "manual mode" with "continuous red", "continuous green", "flashing yellow" as a warning and "lamps off" – ideal for example when felling trees or in special traffic situations that require manual intervention in the control. The customer is guided through the menu in the language of his choice, in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch or Turkish. Other languages are available on request.
The standard version of MPB 1400 has reverse polarity protection and undervoltage protection, nighttime reduction, data buffer when changing the battery, and commercially available halogen lamps. It goes without saying that the signal system is also supplied with LED technology on request.
But it is not only the innovative electronic features of the MPB 1400 that are so convincing:
the robust but still light-weight aluminium battery trailer with solid rubber tyres makes transport so much easier. The proven modular case keeps the costs of spare parts down when repairs are necessary, because here only the actually defective individual part has to be replaced, thus saving costs.
